Year of Engineering - highlights from week one

The Government has launched its 2018 Year of Engineering programme, with a wonderful response coming from across the sector.

The Year of Engineering has a focus on helping children and young students realised how exciting and diverse the sector is and opening their eyes to what can be achieved through an engineering career.

The programme is being supported by a range of professional bodies, private sector partners, the Department for Transport, the Ministry of Defence and the UK Space Agency among others.

Here are some highlights from the first week:
