Transport royalty Sue Percy presented with her CBE

 

Sue Percy, chief executive of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) has been presented with her CBE by the Princess Royal at Buckingham Palace.

Ms Percy was awarded a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in recognition for services to transport.

Martin Tugwell, President, CIHT said: 'It is great to see Sue collect her CBE today. This honour is in recognition for the tireless work and enthusiasm that Sue has brought to the industry over the years.

'We are fortunate to have Sue lead CIHT on many of the challenges affecting highways and transportation professionals including tacking the skills shortage and highlighting the step change needed to improve the diversity of our industry.”

'I would also like to record my personal thanks for all the great work that she has and continues to work with CIHT and the wider sector on.'
