Traffex 2015: Colas hails ‘major advances’ in road worker safety

 

Representatives from transport infrastructure specialists, Colas, have hailed the ‘major advances’ in road worker safety that will be on display at Traffex this week.

Delegates in Birmingham will have the chance to see Colas’ latest safety barrier innovations and a scale model of an impact protection vehicle featuring advance warning radar.

Company officials will also be on hand this week to discuss the firm’s part in one of the UK’s largest traffic management schemes on the M3/M25 intersection.

And in advance of the conference, which starting on 21 April at the NEC, Colas revealed its intelligent transport solutions team will be launching a new generation of full colour, scaleable matrix signs that have been already proven on the continent.

The firm also promises discussions on more urban-based themes including how in the smarter cities of the future the principle of integrated infrastructure, will play a major part.

Colas workers highlighted its work on combining street-lighting and traffic signalling to help reduce clutter and costs.
