Senior local government figures in Conservative heartlands have bemoaned the lack of a proper funding mechanism to support strategic infrastructure for new developments.

Speaking to Transport Network, a leader and a director in major councils labelled the Community Infrastructure Levy ‘fatally flawed’ and Section 106 ‘limited’.
