Sir John Armitt: 'You can't take politics out of infrastructure'

 

The original author of the independent National Infrastructure Commission, which was launched by the Government this month, believes ‘there is no way to take politics out of infrastructure’.

Speaking to Transport Network at an LEP Network event in London, Sir John Armitt argued: ‘If you look around the world I can’t think of any country where infrastructure is not a political issue and is decided independently.’
