Dave Wright, executive director, Kier Highways, explained why next week’s event is important to the company. He said: ‘It is only at events like Traffex where the entire industry comes together – clients and providers.

‘Having a presence at Traffex is fundamental as it provides the opportunity for us to showcase exactly what we are capable of and also the chance to learn from our peers, clients and supply chain partners.

‘It provides us with the right sort of forum where we can hold the "what if..." discussions with our clients and suppliers to push the boundaries and explore new industry innovations.’

Last month Highways England awarded the firm a £40m design contract as part of new delivery arrangements in the South West.

Kier will also begin a new contract tomorrow (1 April) to provide maintenance services on Highways England Areas 6 and 8, covering East Anglia and the East of England.
