Pickles' anti-sock puppet clause 'barking mad' says LEP chair

 

Communities secretary Eric Pickles’ plans to prevent Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) lobbying government has been called ‘barking mad’ by the chair of one of England’s most senior LEPs.

Mike Blackburn chair of Greater Manchester LEP made the comments to Transport Network in response to the so-called 'anti-sock puppet clause' that the Department for Communities and Local Government plans to bring in to amend LEPs’ grant agreement.
