McLoughlin: HS2 cost 'could go down'

 

Transport secretary Patrick McLoughlin has claimed that the budget for the High Speed Rail 2 (HS2) project can be ‘brought down’ from £43bn, following reports the scheme could reach an overall spend of £80bn.
