Camera cars hit their stride in Wales

 

The use of camera cars to enforce parking restrictions is on the up in Wales, with disabled and infirm people among the beneficiaries.

Wales is not covered by the restrictions on camera car operations introduced by Eric Pickles when he was communities secretary in 2014.

The City and County of Swansea was the first Welsh authority to take up the option, in December 2014, and it is now able to compare data covering two full financial years.
