Remembering the Bristol bus boycott

 

A commemorative plaque was unveiled at Bristol bus station this week to mark the Bristol bus boycott of 1963. The boycott forced the Bristol Omnibus Company to change its unofficial ‘colour bar’ that stopped non-white people from working on the buses.
