Work starts in Scotland on 1.2km Upper Forth Crossing

Construction of the new £120M Upper Forth Crossing has got underway, which will at be one of the longest bridges in the world.

The 1.2km-long crossing, which will relieve traffic congestion for road users in Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Fife, will also allow for the renovation of the existing bridge at Kincardine which opened in 1936.
The scheme is being carried out by Morgan Vinci, a joint venture between Moragn Est and Vinci - the world's biggest construction company.
