A roadworks gang clocked up less than one hour of genuine labour in an eight-hour shift, a council has revealed.
Surrey County Council has acted against the firm – whose name it would not confirm as Surveyor went to press – following its investigation. This reportedly revealed workers had made two trips to a bakery and another to a bank and wasted more time talking.
