Woking’s wake-up call

Woking Borough Council will this week decide on whether to adjust its car parking services in an effort to help reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the area.
The council has been looking at vehicle movement levels and is encouraging motorists to opt for more environmentally-friendly cars. It is considering extending discounts of up to 25% for season tickets in all the town centre car parks from August 2007 for vehicles with low CO2 emissions. Plans go before the full council on Thursday.
