Waste: District noses out a solution

South Hams District Council has introduced 100% compostable bin liners after complaints from residents about the smell of green waste.
The council said it was responding to comments on how to make its kitchen caddy scheme cleaner and easier to use. It will now introduce a cornstarch caddy liner, which will compost fully.
