Brighton and Hove’s proposal for new pedestrian links between green spaces currently acting as roundabouts, and Merseyside’s plans to improve pedestrian access to major employment sites, have been welcomed by campaigners.
Living Streets says in an analysis of local transport plan 2 documents that the ‘importance of walking to strategic goals is finally being recognised’, singling out Brighton and Hove, Greater Nottingham, York and Merseyside as particularly good examples.
