Vital Glasgow link will get revamp in £4.5M programme

Transport Scotland is investing £4.5M in a major maintenance scheme on a vital section of the M8.

The upgrades on the Bothwell Street off-ramp, part of the Kingston Bridge complex, are scheduled to start in mid-June, and expected to last 20 weeks.

The programme, managed and supervised by Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, involve works to replace worn parts of the bridge and resurface its deck. This section of motorway provides a key link to Glasgow city centre, with around 10,000 motorists using the Bothwell Street off-ramp on a daily basis.
