VMS manufacturer Bartco UK has announced that it will use Traffex to launch its first portable variable message sign (VMS) that can be integrated with temporary traffic lights.
The system, developed with SRL Traffic Systems, allows signs to link with temporary traffic lights to provide useful information to drivers. Together they have created Bartco’s smallest VMS, designed to show basic safety information during temporary traffic light installation and road works.
Measuring 650mm x 750mm, Bartco UK’s HD Quattro is being integrated on the same boxes and posts that SRL used for its Radiolight temporary traffic lights.
Bartco UK and MVIS managing director, Pat Musgrave, said: ‘Our priority is not only the development of new ITS products, but the creation of innovative ITS solutions that effectively integrate these individual technologies to meet specific customer requirements; our work involving the HD Quattro multiple technological integrations demonstrates the application of this priority.’
Last year Bartco UK also announced an international partnership with European ITS manufacturer, Signature Group (France), which will see the two companies work together to develop and distribute new ITS technology.
