Urban and rural classifications for LEPs

 

The issue of Local Enterprise Partnership boundaries has been discussed at length among council officers through groups such as ADEPT.  

Questions ahve been raised about how relate to local authority boundaries and the previous much larger, nine Regional Development Agencies.

Here are a useful set of maps from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairson that theme.

The department states: 'These maps show the 2011 Rural-Urban Classification for Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) Areas based on Census Output Areas. The maps show the full extent of LEPs, including the areas within which they overlap. More information on individual LEPs is available via the LEP Network.'
