Transport technology of the future, including flying taxis and automated logistics, will be the hot topic at a free conference at the MIRA Technology Park on 4 November.
East Midlands Airport and the Local Enterprise Partnership are staging The Future of Human Mobility and Regional Connectivity event as part of the two-week Leicester Business Festival.
Highlights include a presentation from Uber on automated logistics, MIRA research facility discussing electric vehicles and cyber security, and sub-national transport body Midlands Connect, which will also be outlining future transport demand in the region to 2068.
There will also be a presentation from VCRO, a Derby-based outfit making headlines with its flying taxi plans,and East Midlands Airport, which will be presenting on transport challenges of tomorrow and the strategies and technology that can help solve them.
