Traffic management: Scottish traffic volumes up

 
The total volume of traffic in Scotland last year, at 43bn vehicle kilometres, was more or less the same as in 2004, with an increase of only 0.03%. But it was still the highest level recorded, and 16% more than in 1995. The total number of vehicles licensed grew by 3% to 2.53M, 33% more than in 1995 and also the highest number ever.
