All 101 towns selected to work towards a Town Deal were given an allocation of up to £1m each to support regeneration projects.
The funds have been allocated from the Government's £3.6bn Towns Fund and were awarded by communities department MCHLG.

The cash awards range from £500,000 up to £1m per town to be spent on local schemes, which could include transport elements such as pedestrianising streets to encourage active travel or public transport interventions.
Burton on Trent’s High Street regeneration project for instance, which was awarded £750,000, includes new bus access and cycle lanes.
Communities secretary Robert Jenrick said: 'This £80m funding for immediate investment is a real boost for our towns and will help them thrive with investment in transport, technology, skills and culture.
'It will give towns across the opportunity to drive economic growth and improve prospects for their communities, which will be vital as the country responds to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. We are fully behind our high streets and will support local areas to build back better.'
Under the 'Town Deals', the government said it is working with councils and LEPs to create better transport links and more connectivity.
In July last year the prime minister announced the the £3.6bn Towns Fund for 'an initial 100 towns' and in September 2019 the Government invited 100 places - now 101 - to develop proposals for a Town Deal.
It released a prospectus to help areas prepare for a Town Deal, as part of a two-stage process.
'We want to see Town Deal Boards established, with investment priorities and project proposals then set out in a locally-owned Town Investment Plan. Proposals should drive long term economic and productivity growth through investment in connectivity, land use, economic assets including cultural assets, skills and enterprise infrastructure,' the Government said.
