Top transport figures celebrated in Queen's Birthday honours

 

Congratulations to all those from the world of transport and infrastructure who were honoured today in the Queen's Birthday honours list. 

Knighthoods

Terry Morgan CBE, FRENG, non-executive chairman of Crossrail Ltd was knighted for services to UK infrastructure, skills and employment.

Commanders of the Order of the British Empire (CBE)

John Jeffrey Parkinson, director of motoring, freight and London and chair of the Ability Network at the Department for Transport, was awarded a CBE for services to transport and to diversity in the workplace.

Officers of the Order of the British Empire (OBE)

Dr Olivia Hazel Carlton, occupational physician and medical leader at Transport for London won an OBE for services to Transport for London and occupational medicine.

Professor Clifford Bertram Hague, Emeritus Professor at the school of energy, geoscience, infrastructure and society at Heriot-Watt University, for services to planning.

Peter Giles West, commercial manager of the Great Western Franchise at the Department for Transport won an OBE for services to the rail industry.

Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE)

Roger Charles Agombar, lately a consultant at Department for Transport, won an MBE for services to tackling drink and drug driving.

Dawn Bonfield, chief executive of the Women's Engineering Society received an MBE for the promotion of diversity in engineering.

Elizabeth Ann Bell, vice chair of South Antrim Community Transport won an MBE for voluntary service to community transport.

Elizabeth Brooker, road safety and sustainable transport manager at the London Borough of Lewisham won an MBE for services to Road Safety.

Paul John Cremin head of emerging aviation technologies at the Department for Transport won an MBE for services to air safety.

Richard Paul Holland leader of the Barbara Bus Fund won an MBE for voluntary service to transport accessibility for people with disabilities.

Mr John Rodell, operations director at FTX Logistics won an MBE for services in support of army heavy equipment transportation.

Mark Jeremy Smith, head of suicide prevention and mental health at the British Transport Police won an MBE for services to policing.

Anne Marion Weston, administrative officer of the UK air space policy, temporary and emergency flying restrictions at the Department for Transport, was awarded an MBE for services to Aviation.

Anna Maria Whitty, chief executive officer of Ealing Community Transport, won an MBE for services to community transport.

Medallist of the Order of the British Empire (BEM)

Charles Robin Frankish won a BEM for services to transport and the community in London.
