More than £110M of trunk road improvements in the West Midlands are to be funded by a windfall from the M6 toll.

Operator, Macquarie Infrastructure Group, has agreed the contribution from resources released by refinancing of the UK’s first tolled motorway. Improvements include the construction, operation and maintenance of a new road from the M54 and Telford to the M6 and M6 toll, and up to £10M of work on the slip road access from the M42.
