Thin time for seedcorn cash

 
Only ‘a small number of additional authorities’ will attract seedcorn cash in round two of the transport innovation fund, the Department for Transport has warned.
In criteria for round two of the pump-priming round, the DfT says it wants to keep the number of councils it is supporting in developing schemes manageable. Up to £9M would be available for the second round, mostly in 2007/08. Decisions on bids are promised by October.
