TfL hell bent on bendy ban

Transport for London (TfL) has continued its programme to remove bendy buses from the capital, having withdrawn the vehicles from route 521.

New, shorter, single-deck buses have taken over on the route – which operates between Waterloo and London Bridge – and TfL has said buses will now run every two or three minutes compared with every four minutes.

Kulveer Ranger, the mayor of London’s transport adviser, said: ‘The mayor was elected with a clear manifesto of getting bendy buses off our streets and he’s delighted to see the second set leaving the capital.’
