Teaming up to enforce

Shropshire’s decriminalised parking comes into force at the end of this month and wardens are already patrolling.
A total of 18 parking attendants were patrolling Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Ludlow, Whitchurch, Market Drayton, Oswestry and Wem – but they will operate a two-week period where they will only inform motorists of an offence, not ticket them.
In a fortnight’s time, drivers parked on double yellow lines will face a £60 fine, reduced to £30 if paid within 14 days, and increased to £90 if not paid within a month.
