Study will have impacts

The promised new study into the costs of retaining tolls on the Tay and Forth Road bridges is due to report later this year.
Scottish transport minister, Tavish Scott, said last week that the study would focus on ‘the impacts of the tolls on the economy and communities in Fife and Dundee’, as well as ‘the wider impacts, on the Lothians and nationally’.
The aim is to appoint consultants by the end of the summer.
