‘Streetcar’ finds its fans

 
Swansea council has received a positive reaction from local campaigners for its plan to bring the new ‘streetcar’ vehicle to the city later this year.
Charles Peck, the chair of Swansea Access for Everyone, said after a ride on one of the new ‘tram-like’ vehicles that they would ‘revolutionise’ transport for disabled passengers. He was pleased wheelchair-users could board without the need for built-up kerbs.
