Sixty-four per cent of residents in Ludlow have backed the introduction of on-street parking charges in the Shropshire market town. Shropshire CC received more than 1,200 questionnaires, in which 55% supported the idea of limited waiting in the roads around Ludlow’s old town, but argued for two hours rather than the proposed one – which will be taken on board. The county will now start advertising the orders, having made certain changes.
