Station proposal for Reading

Architect PRP has drawn up plans for a new, privately-financed railway station at Reading GreenPark on behalf of the real estate management company PRUPIM.

A planning application has been submitted to Reading Borough Council for the construction of a station with five train carriage-length platforms, a station concourse and pedestrian bridge across the tracks.

The adjoining bus interchange includes a decked park-and-ride facility, ‘kiss and ride’ (short stay car park), taxi drop-off, disabled parking facility, access road, landscaping and associated works.
