Spurs fan zone comes into play

Football fans will be prevented from parking in the area around north London’s White Hart Lane stadium on match days through a major new controlled parking zone (CPZ) being introduced by Haringey Council.

The authority has announced that the Tottenham Hotspur Match Day CPZ will come into force in more than 100 streets around Tottenham Hotspur’s ground on 19 January 2008.

The scheme is designed to reduce the severe congestion around the area which takes place on match days, and ensure that residents no longer have to compete for parking spaces with supporters travelling from outside the local area.
