Solution’s Plain and simple for Royal flush

A ‘discrete, but high-capacity’ drainage system has been installed as part of a newly-developed pedestrian area in Lowestoft, Suffolk.

The Royal Plain public space, complete with a 74-jet water and lighting feature, boasts granite paving, cobbles, and tactile paving supplied by Marshalls. It is part of the £14.7M Waveney Sunrise scheme project to improve large parts of the town’s shopping and seafront areas, and boost its economy.

Marshalls’ ‘slot drain mono’ system featuring a single 10mm-wide slot, would allow ‘the fountain’s waters to drain quickly while negating any potential trip hazard or blockage,’ according to the firm.
