Sharing the benefits

Work has started on the second phase of a £420,000 project to introduce shared zones for pedestrians and motorists in Shaftesbury, Dorset.
Dorset County Council contractors recently completed the first scheme of the town centre enhancement project, and the second phase began on Monday. The scheme aims to reduce the current domination of traffic and make the town more attractive to shoppers through the introduction of shared zones.
