Norfolk County Council announced the UK’s first local authority-run electronic bus service-registration system.

The Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) and county officials had successfully exchanged key files, said county head of passenger transport, Tracy Jessup.

The county aims to help smaller operators minimise IT costs with a simple ‘point and click’ web interface.
