Scotland: Scottish seize opportunity

 
More than 200 cars have been taken off the roads of Scotland after a police crackdown using new powers.
Lothians and Scottish Borders Police seized vehicles being driven without insurance or by drivers without valid licences.
Of the 219 impounded vehicles, 72 have since been destroyed after their owners failed to respond to letters – 30 of them were non-registered motorbikes , quads and mini-motos.
