Safer move gains support

Mayor of London, Ken Livingston, has launched one of the capital’s first Safer Transport teams, in Bexley.
Up to 18 new police community support officers (PCSOs) will work with at least two sergeants and one police constable to cut crime and anti-social disorder on and around the borough’s public transport. Livingston said: ‘Over coming months, 378 police community support officers will be introduced on to the transport system in 21 outer London boroughs. ‘They will form a highly-visible policing presence on our transport network, provide reassurance, and make public transport safer.’
