Rugby gets a kicking

The Audit Commission has given Rugby a one star ‘fair’ rating for its waste management and street cleaning services, and said it had ‘uncertain prospects’ for improvement.
Inspector Sandy McMillan said: ‘For the past two years, Rugby has had plans for a major chance in the way it deals with waste, but hasn’t been able to turn those plans into reality. Although the streets are clean and there is a reliable refuse collection service, Rugby needs to waste less and recycle more.
