Row derails tram project

A new row has broken out at Edinburgh City Council after a report warned that the consortium constructing the city’s tram project was to make more demands for extra money.

Edinburgh’s transport convenor, Gordon MacKenzie, said: ‘We have lodged formal dispute papers with the consortium. We are unhappy with the progress of the tram project.’
