Residents invited to see how far Leeds should travel

Members of the public are being consulted on proposals for the future development of Leeds city centre.
Following 18 months of informal public consultation, Leeds City Council has put together its preferred options for consideration, and is now seeking further public opinion on the proposals. The plans include introducing new transport concepts, such as bus interchanges, bus rapid transit and tram-train routes; encouraging short-stay visitor parking but reducing commuter car parking; and promoting more public landscaped areas. The council also proposes that new developments address climate change by incorporating appropriate waste storage, renewable energy and sustainable design technology.
