A redesigned bus network for Kendal in Cumbria was introduced last week, after Stagecoach said it could no longer run services on a commercial basis.
~Cumbria County Council~ said the new timetables, offering ‘the same of an improved level of service’, reflected comments made in consultations last autumn. There are more through-services across town, extra late-running services to Westmorland Hospital and a number of residential areas, and improved co-ordination with West Coast Main Line trains at Oxenholme rail station.
