Ready to park and ride

Work is due to start on Monday on the second of two new park-and-ride sites on the A638 in Doncaster.

The sites are specifically aimed at getting commuters out of their cars and on to buses to reduce congestion along key roads into the town centre.

This, in turn, will reduce emissions and environmental damage caused by the large volumes of traffic currently using these routes. When complete, the park-and-ride sites will feature 400 car parking spaces, covered waiting areas with seating and litter bins, covered cycle racks, toilets and baby-changing facilities.
