Rangers hit the streets

West Sussex County Council’s new ‘Highways rangers’ team is being given the task of improving the streetscene in four areas of the county.
The pilot will see the two staff members spend a week at a time in Worthing, Adur, Chanctonbury and parts of south mid Sussex. They will carry out specific work including clearing vegetation overhanging paths and roads, removing weeds from footways, cleaning signs and removing illegal ones, and minor repairs to signs and other street furniture.
