Plenty of zero tolerance

 
An experiment by Bath & North East Somerset Council to see whether residents can go a week without throwing anything away has been declared a success.
Zero Waste Week challenged residents to live without producing any black bag rubbish for seven days (Surveyor, 26 October 2006).
Most of the 75 volunteers managed to reduce their waste by about three-quarters, while one family reduced their waste to one yoghurt pot and some plastic wrappers.
