Passes offer firm foundation

Fifteen trainee traffic control engineers at Transport for London have passed their IHIE foundation professional certificate assessment.

The trainees are from the directorate of traffic operations, and are training to be traffic engineers.

Korak Van Tuyl, principal engineer for the North Inner Signals team and part of the training co-ordination team, said: ‘The assessment is intensive and demanding, so we are extremely pleased that all 15 candidates passed.

‘It included a 20-page report, backed up by a substantial evidential document on works they have completed on a range of schemes, such as a new installation of a pelican, VA Timing Review and Signal MODS sites, then culminating in an interview.’
