Partners make their mark

Oxfordshire Highways – the public-private partnership formed in 2005 with staff from the county council, Jacobs and Enterprise – has gained Charter Mark status.

It is the first such highways partnership to achieve the award. ‘We anticipated bringing together people and structures from the private and public sector and fusing them into one organisation was not going to be an easy task,’ said cabinet member for transport Ian Hudspeth.

‘However, three years later, here we are, winning an award for excellence in customer service, and with a track record of having delivered on key projects.’
