Oxford blues hit streets

Homes in central Oxford chosen to take part in a new recycling service will be getting wheelie bins and blue boxes in the next two weeks.
Deliveries began this week in an area covering around 15,000 properties in Carfax, Holywell, Jericho, Botley Road, Hinksey Park, Summertown, Wolvercote, and also small parts of Marston, Headington and Quarry, as part of the Oxford City Council scheme.
A number of homes which cannot cope with a wheelie bin are getting a supply of sacks to collect any waste not recycled.
