Over 1,000 sign up for November's Road Expo

Transport Scotland and SCOTS have released their full conference programme for next month's free Road Expo Scotland in Edinburgh, and Transport Network can reveal more than 1,000 visitors have already signed up.

Places are still available for the event, where visitors will be able to access 10 hours of free-to-attend, CPD certified seminars overseen by Transport Scotland and SCOTS representatives, all without charge.

This includes a keynote speech by Derek Mackay, minister for transport and the Islands, as well as local government officials.

Mr MacKay said: ‘Road Expo 2015 offers another exciting opportunity for road professionals from across Scotland and beyond to see and share the latest developments in traffic management and roads maintenance.

‘With its innovative thinking and creative approach to addressing challenges within the industry, Scotland has earned a solid reputation across the globe for road engineering excellence - and the talent pool expected at this year’s Expo will only serve to reinforce that view.

‘I look forward to addressing my first Expo this year, and would encourage all of those with a professional interest to book their place among road engineering’s elite.’

The two-day conference runs alongside the 100 exhibitor strong exhibition, and welcomes all practitioners wishing to learn about the future of Scottish roads and transportation.
