Morecambe goes public

 
An information centre has opened to keep the public up-to-date with the progress of Morecambe’s £28M coastal defence work.
The improvements, which should be completed by next summer, will protect 1,300 properties from the flooding they have suffered in the past. Birse Civilis, on behalf of Lancaster City Council is introducing rock armour protection to the existing sea wall at Sandylands, introducing two breakwaters and making improvements along the length of the promenade.
