More car spaces for town

 
More than 1,400 car parking spaces are due to be created as part of a major £115M refurbishment in the Northern Ireland town of Coleraine.

Two development schemes are proposed for the town centre – one at the Abbey Street car park and the other at the Mall car park, both of which include building new shops and restaurants, apartments and offices.

The announcement, made by social development minister, Margaret Ritchie, is expected to solve the town’s ‘burning need for additional parking’, mayor, Maurice Bradley, said.
