Milestone for bypass users

The new £30M Dalkeith northern bypass reached a milestone last week, when work started on an underpass that will allow the new route to link to the existing A720 Edinburgh city bypass.

With four new slip roads already complete at this interchange, construction can now begin on an underpass where the A720 and the A68 tie in.

Transport Scotland’s contractor, Morgan Est, expects work at this location to begin on 24 September and last for about three months.
